- In rural life and in particular in the times of Alpine farming hand crafts had a key role to play. Many of the working techniques used have changed in the course of mechanisation, but they have not entirely disappeared.
At the exhibition historic forms of processing wood using many different applications is revealed, so too are the various methods used to gather hay. In addition, wool was also greatly significant in Alpine people's live.
Alpe Batzen is accessible via an easy (family) hike, both from Warth and from Schröcken.

Likelihood of triggering
Triggering is likely, even from low additional loads, on many steep slopes (steeper than 30 degrees). In some cases, numerous large and often very large natural avalanches can be expected.
